Can’t fault anything – everything is immaculate and well thought out. The perfect escape! (Helen, July 2021)

We stayed for 4 nights and loved it. The location is something special and perfect for lots of days out without the need to travel too far. The cabin and outside area were perfect. Fantastic hosts and we can’t wait to visit again in the future. (Amy, August 2021)

Without a doubt my favourite Airbnb experience. Paul and Poppy are great hosts and the location is beautiful. The perfect escape from the city nestled into stunning landscape. Thanks for such a wonderful stay! Truly a dream. (Jackson, September 2021)

Inside our luxury stargazing cabin

Perseus has a kitchenette with hot running water, a fridge and a gas hob. The sumptuous king size bed with large picture window makes the most of every opportunity to catch sight of a shooting star. The large en-suite shower room is fitted with a walk-in shower and vanity unit with a sink. A luxury compost loo in the shower room means there’s no need to step outside. The wood burning stove will keep you toasty in the cooler months and on chilly summer nights. We provide a large basket of logs, kindling and fire lighters for your stay. We have additional logs and kindling available to purchase if you require more. The living-eating space has a comfortable seating area and a table and chairs for two, positioned to take in the view from the French windows which open out on to a large grass area and spacious private deck.

Outside our luxury stargazing cabin

On the deck and grass area you’ll find everything you need for alfresco cooking and dining, along with seating to relax and watch the stars or take in the view in your own little haven. Deer, pheasants and birds of prey can often be spotted on the farm amongst the native trees, wild flowers and swaying grass. The deck also boasts a vintage roll top bath with hot running water so that you can enjoy a luxurious soak beneath the stars. Telescopes and star maps can be borrowed and the cabin has plenty of cosy, warm blankets to keep you warm after dark.

The lighting and fridge are powered entirely from solar energy, with LPG gas for cooking and hot water, making your experience ‘off-grid’. The site has good 4G coverage but Wifi is not available in the cabin. We invite guests to make the most of being able to switch off and unwind away from the bustle of daily life. However, if you do require access to the internet during your stay, you are more than welcome to login to our Guest Wifi which is available nearer the farm buildings. The cabins have a usb charging point for recharging phones.

Royal Oak Farm is the perfect location for exploring Devon further: 20 minutes from the Jurassic Coast (World Heritage Site); 10 minutes from Honiton; 20 minutes from Lyme Regis and 30 minutes from Exeter.

Because we have livestock on the farm and we grow food products, we unfortunately cannot allow dogs on site.
