Orion – Stargazing Cabin in Devon
We loved spending a couple of days in this beautiful eco-cabin and exploring the local area and coastline. Everything was beyond our already high expectations! Fantastic hosts, beautiful accommodation and views / setting. Couldn’t recommend more highly and my husband and I would definitely stay there again. Would also recommend the yummy food hampers that you can also pre-order. A bbq with local produce, cooked under the stars on a fire pit in our own secluded space – really was as idyllic as it sounds. Thank you so much! (Nell, September 2021)
Really enjoyable stay. The stargazing cabin was in a perfect location for trips out, but we also had a great time staying in and making use of the outdoor bath and fire pit. We really appreciated the peace and quiet and the view from the cabin was beautiful. (Sarah, September 2021)
Perfect location for seeing the stars at night. Wildlife and deer spotted in the fields first thing in the morning. Outside bath was unique and supply of hot water was excellent. There’s a great seating area for a bbq/fire pit whilst you watch the sunset with a glass of Prosecco. (Steve, August, 2021)
Orion was the most beautiful cabin with the most amazing views. The fire pit was lovely and the outdoor bath was perfect to relax in the evening under the stars. The cabin was cosy and so clean. We would absolutely love to come back again, and we would definitely recommend! (Daniella, August 2021)
The Orion cabin is out of this world! Beautiful spot, off grid, great facilities, clean, and well equipped. We loved the outside bath and separate bbq area. It has great connectivity to the coast. This is a fabulous place to stay! (Joseph, July, 2021)
Fantastic tranquil lodge in beautiful countryside. Poppy and Paul have thought of everything – from herbs in planters on the deck to a pot of sugar cubes for your coffee. We visited nearby beaches but ended up skipping evening meals out because we couldn’t wait to get home to our little cabin. It’s just so relaxing – particularly loved the outdoor bath! We will definitely be back again and highly recommending this beautiful destination to all our friends. (Natalie, July 2021)
We had the most wonderful few days in Poppy & Paul’s shepherds hut! We were expecting something great from the pictures but it’s even better in real life. Love the conscious effort that’s been put in making this hut eco friendly! 100% recommended! (Noa, June 2021)
We had a wonderful, relaxing stay at Poppy and Paul’s cabin – it was beautifully furnished. The bed was super comfy, it had an incredible hot power shower and the outdoor bath was a real treat. The setting was really peaceful and Poppy and Paul were lovely hosts – the home made fudge on arrival was a really thoughtful touch. We’ll definitely be back! (Sophie, May 2021)
If you’re looking for a stargazing cabin in Devon, look no further! Absolute hidden gem – such a peaceful place to relax and the hut has everything you need to switch off, and the BBQ area was set up perfectly. It was also a really great base to explore the area – lots of fantastic walks and beautiful scenery nearby. Poppy and Paul were very accommodating too. (Claire, May 2021)
The cabin is beautifully done and has everything you need. Poppy and Paul have really paid attention to detail and made this a truly luxurious retreat. It’s so private and the outdoor bath was amazing. The compost loo was the nicest one I’ve ever used! Can’t recommend this highly enough. (Victoria, April 2021)
A real hidden gem. Top quality cabin providing a lovely, private and cosy get away. Amazing views and hospitality just right! We had an amazing time. Orion exceeded expectation. We had everything we needed for a cozy, lazy weekend without children. We will definitely be back. (Charlotte, December 2020)
Beautiful little cabin in the Blackdown Hills with a wood burning stove and off-grid set up. Amazingly peaceful getaway with superb responsive hosts and great privacy. Everything you need to recharge your batteries for a while. I would love to stay again. (Jim, December 2020)
The cabin is so effectively done and is the perfect place to relax and get away to. It is easy to get to beaches and the stars are amazing! Poppy and Paul were very helpful and made sure I had everything I needed. (Sophie, November, 2020)
Friendly hosts and a spotless cabin which was warm and toasty from the fun log burner. It was a wonderful stay in this stargazing cabin Devon. (Douglas, October 2020)
We loved our stay in Poppy and Paul’s cabin. It is such a charming place; we had fun using the features of the wood burner, outdoor bath and fire pit which adds to the unique experience. The hosts give you your privacy and let you be in your own little secluded world but I had a few requests which they went out of their way to help with – they were really the loveliest hosts! We went to two of the recommended food places in nearby Honiton – I was expecting something nice but they were really spectacular! The Holt had some of the best food I’ve ever had in a beautiful interior and Toast cafe was very charming with a beautiful outdoor ‘secret’ (but very large) garden seating space. I’d highly recommend during your stay! Would happily stay here again it was perfect 🙂 (Chloe, October 2020)
We spent a wonderful week at the stargazing cabin. Orion was really spacious, well equipped and the bed was super comfy. We loved the fire pit and the bath, even in the rain! Poppy & Paul were great hosts – really friendly, quick to respond to any queries but also left us to it. We would 100% recommend and will hopefully return to this stargazing cabin in Devon.
