Ursa – Luxury Stargazing Cabin

Beautiful cabin in a very peaceful location. Surrounded by trees, squirrels and birds on a lovely farm. Short driving distance from excellent coastal walks and beaches along the Jurassic Coast. Real touches of luxury and very well equipped. By far the best feature is the bath under the stars! Wonderful! I really hope to be back. (Sophie, September 2022)

The stargazing cabin is a blissful way to spend a holiday. Super comfy and clean, lots of piping hot water, especially for the magical outdoor bath, and lovely areas to sit out on the terrace or by the fire. Could have happily stayed for weeks. A really special place. (Georgie, August 2022)

This beautiful off-grid cabin is perfect for a quiet get away! Close to the gorgeous Jurassic Coast and some lovely places to eat! We went for a mini moon, and had the most amazing weekend away! Would highly recommend! (Rosanna, August 2022)

Can’t speak highly enough about this wonderful place. We had the most relaxing, chilled out stay and most certainly enabled us to unwind. The views are superb and surroundings so quiet and peaceful. The outdoor bath was amazing and we will certainly miss our evening baths under the stars. The hut was beautifully finished and furnished with everything we needed. Poppy and Paul were the perfect hosts – giving lots of advice on places to visit, things to do and places to eat (although we liked the hut so much we stayed in every night to make the most of it!). Thank you Poppy and Paul for the perfect break – can’t wait to come back! (Lisa, July 2022)

This unique cabin was such a delight to stay in! We stayed for two nights but could easily have stayed a lot longer! The outdoor bath was so luxurious. We lay in the hot bath looking at the night sky with nothing but the sound of the breeze rustling through the oak trees, it was one of the most magical moments of my life. So peaceful and quiet! We woke the next day to the sight of two deer wandering through the fruit bushes behind us. It was just what we wanted, a chance to take a deep breath, appreciate the nature around us and fully immerse ourselves in a peaceful bubble! Amazing! Just can’t wait to stay again. Ooh and the skylight over the comfy king size bed! I would highly recommend a stay here. An unforgettable experience. (Thalia, July 2022)

We came here for our babymoon as we are expecting our first child in August and wanted a relaxing few days away – this place was all we could have hoped for and more! A beautiful location with quirky and cosy amenities, helpful hosts and beautiful wildlife. We ended up doing most of the activities recommended to us by Poppy and Paul and had the best time exploring local beaches and walks and eating lovely food. We were able to totally switch off and left feeling super relaxed! (Lily, June 2022)

Poppy and Paul we fantastic!!! Could not have asked for better, cabin was beautiful and clean. They helped me prepare an engagement, made the place even more beautiful. Thank you so much guys, you were amazing. A forever memory! (Matthew, May 2022)

Inside our luxury stargazing cabin

Ursa’s sumptuous king size bed beneath a vast skylight window makes the most of every opportunity to catch sight of a shooting star. The well-equipped kitchenette has a gas hob, hot running water and a fridge.

The large en-suite shower room is fitted with a large walk-in shower and vanity unit with a sink. A luxury compost loo is accessed from the shower room without the need to step outside.

The wood burning stove will keep you toasty in the cooler months and on chilly summer nights. We provide a large basket of logs, kindling and fire lighters for your stay. We have additional logs and kindling available to purchase if you require more.

The living-eating space has a comfortable seating area and a table and chairs for two, positioned to take in the view from the French windows which open out on to a spacious private deck.

Outside our luxury stargazing cabin

On the deck and grass below you’ll find everything you need for alfresco cooking and dining, along with seating to relax and watch the stars or take in the view in your own little haven.

The deck also boasts a vintage roll top bath with hot running water so that you can enjoy a luxurious soak beneath the stars. Binoculars, stargazing monocular and star maps are provided and the cabin has plenty of cosy, warm blankets to keep you warm after dark.

Deer, pheasants and birds of prey can often be spotted on the farm amongst the native trees, wild flowers and swaying grass.

Off-grid

The lighting and fridge are powered entirely from solar energy, with LPG gas for cooking and hot water, making your experience ‘off-grid’.

The site has good 4G coverage but Wifi is not available in the cabin. We invite guests to make the most of being able to switch off and unwind away from the bustle of daily live. The cabins have a usb charging point for recharging phones.
